  • Branch Executive Membership

    70$
    Annual subscription available to any person serving as a President, Treasurer or Secretary with any of the registered bureaus.
    Valid for 12 months

  • Associate Membership

    50$
    Annual subscription available to an immediate family member or a business relationship of a full paying member.
    Valid for 12 months
  • MOST POPULAR

    Full Membership

    70$
    Annual subscription available to an individual who is interested in sustainable food and fibre production, agricultural business and/or sustainable natural resource management.
    Valid for 12 months

  • Introductory Membership

    40$
    Annual subscription available to a member who has joined a branch for the first time and is valid for one occasion only.
    Valid for 12 months

  • Student Membership

    40$
    Annual subscription available to a member of a who can produce a student identification card. Student membership can relate to a person who is currently studying*.
    Valid for 12 months

BENEFITS OF MEMBERSHIP

Membership fees are integral to achieving the aims of the Bureau movement. Membership fees provide the following benefits, which are not available to non-financial branches and members:

 

  • Eligible to nominate and vote for regional board member representation

  • Subscription to the Agricultural Bureau’s quarterly e-newsletter Ag Chat

  • Promotional opportunities/advertising of branch events and gatherings

  • Assistance to prepare and administer project funding from external sources such as NRM Community Grants and the Australian Government’s National Landcare Program

  • Access to member service awards and Educational Regional Tour funds (bus trips)

  • Public liability and personal accident insurance cover branch meetings, events and crop walks

 

In addition, membership fees provide for the Ag Bureau to represent the interests of members and agricultural producers to the Government and the media.

AGRICULTURAL BUREAU BRANCHES

An integral part of South Australia’s rural community since 1888, the Agricultural Bureau of South Australia is working to support vibrant rural communities and strong ag-industry networks by promoting excellence in agriculture, business management and sustainable resource management.

 

The Ag Bureau is an established 50-strong network of membership branches, representing the interests of more than 1100 South Australian rural farmers on issues of common interest between farmers, scientists, government agencies, agribusinesses, research bodies and regional organisations.

 

The branches unite passionate people interested in farming, agricultural development and learning and promote the well-being of our communities. 

 

The Agricultural Bureau of SA (Ag Bureau) Board works to maintain and support a strong, active and growing network. As an active advocate for its branch networks and members, the Ag Bureau encourages and facilitates the following:

 

  • Adopting research and development project collaborations between primary producers, agribusiness, researchers and government agencies.

  • Value-adding with knowledge sharing/technology

  • Communication of issues, options and solutions to relevant Ministers and agribusiness leaders

  • The dissemination of critical information to farmers and relevant stakeholders during disasters or adverse events ensures local information is communicated to key decision-makers supporting local communities.
