Jasmin Piggott has been involved with farming her entire life on the Eyre Peninsula with cropping, livestock and now flowers. She completed her schooling at Cleve Area School with a certificate in Agriculture. Jasmin, her husband, and two children now run the Family farm out of Cowell.

For the last four years, Jasmin has been employed in the Drought space working with individuals, businesses, community groups, stakeholders, and local, state and Federal Government. Jasmin has advocated for what is needed on the ground within the communities. In addition, she has been involved in forums and working groups for new drought tools that have been developed. Jasmin has also run many events and facilitated workshops focusing on the well-being and resilience of individuals and communities.

Since the drought, Jasmin has also recently diversified into a Native Flower farm creating another form of sustainable income during dry times. Jasmin was a proud recipient of the 2021 Ag Bureau scholarship for sustainable agriculture, where she will gain further knowledge in sustainable ways to run the whole farm business.

Jasmin is a WoTL Ambassador bringing learning and development to the women in her farming area. Jasmin is an enthusiastic community member involved in a wide range of community committees and involved with the local Sporting groups with the whole family, making sure the town of Cowell and the EP thrives for future years and generations.
